As expected, the testimony this week by Attorney General William Barr before the Senate Judiciary Committee over the Mueller Report turned into a mini political circus, most notably when Democratic Senator Kameela Harris turned her bitchy interrogation on Barr for the cameras.
She grilled him on whether anyone at the White House had asked him to investigate anyone (he couldn’t remember); whether he had looked at the “underlying evidence” in the report (that wasn’t his job, it was Mueller’s job); and whether the career ethics person at the Justice Department had cleared Asst. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to make a charging decision (he had).
Then, after casting doubt on Barr, grandstanding for the cameras, Harris said “I think the American people have seen quite well you are biased in this and have not been objective.” Harris could say that before the television audience tuning in because she is one of the many Democratic candidates for President, and a Progressive at that, and thus can speak for us all who don’t have a microphone.
Immediately after the session ended, CNN launched into ongoing panel discussions with their 20 and 30 something experts on how Barr was lying and had no credibility, and then Congressman Jerry Nadler had his own mini-news conference after Barr said he would appear before the House as invited, with Nadler saying Barr was “terrified” of facing the House panel, and the “contempt” and “impeachment” hysteria began again.
Then, within minutes after Barr’s testimony ended, an Opinion piece appeared in the New York Times website, supposedly written by former FBI Director James Comey, entitled “How Trump Co-Ops Leaders Like Bill Barr,” which gave insight into what it’s like to work with Trump.
Comey said President Trump “eats your soul in small bites,” especially those people who work closely with him, like Barr. The former FBI Director and author of the bestselling “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership,” written after he was fired by Trump, went on to say “amoral leaders have a way of revealing the character of those around them” and that is sometimes “inspiring.”
Comey has become the new moral voice of the Times, as well as for CNN – a former high-ranking Justice Department official fired a week after the inauguration who has gone on to best-selling fame and post-government riches with his book “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.” Comey’s book tells us how Trump is morally unfit for office, but not the fact that Comey should be in jail himself for lying to Congress and for using classified notes on Trump taken while FBI Director to write his book.
“Accomplished people lacking inner strength can’t resist the compromises necessary to survive Mr. Trump and that adds up to something they will never recover from,” Comey wrote in his Op-Ed piece. “It takes character like Mr. Mattis’s (the former defense secretary who quit) to avoid the damage, because Mr. Trump eats your soul in small bites.”
The absolutely hilarious but twisted real truth is that Comey could have been talking about himself, along with a dozen other high-ranking government officials in the Obama Administration who lacked the inner strength to resist compromises needed to survive working with Barack and his sidekick Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett. That real fact is what the spineless and corrupted ones in the news media are trying to cover up by blowing all this distracted, meaningless smoke over Trump and Barr over Russian collusion and impeachment.
And they are the ones who are terrified, because Barr is finally looking into all the sleaze wrought by Barack and Valerie during the 2016 election, and if he does his job, and Congress gets its head out its collective, politicized rear ends, they all, selected media included, could go to jail.
What Barack and Valerie did during the 2016 election, as it became apparent that the Donald was building a true populist movement to take over the White House, was to devise an intricate scheme to stop him, and use all the sleazy powers they learned in Chicago where corruption is a daily part of political life.
In their paranoia over Trump and his populist campaign, Barack and Valerie enlisted people inside their White House to spy on Trump, people like CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Valerie’s gal pal, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, to try to get dirt on the Donald.
Then separately the Obama gang did something that makes Watergate seem like child’s play. They helped orchestrate the famous Steele dossier on Trump, which used “intelligence” from a former British Intelligence officer turned paid hack named Christopher Steele to make up the fake Trump-Russian collusion story.
Then they pushed that dossier through the FBI and Justice Department and used it to get FISA Court approval (with the help of Comey) to spy on Trump as well as the “intelligence” that launched the Mueller investigation into Russian Collusion, which became the whole hysterical reason for CNN’s existence for two years.
Meanwhile, the Obama insiders also used their muscle to have the FBI squash the investigation of Hillary Clinton and her private email server while Secretary of State, which has revealed emails related to the lies at Bengazi, others which helped get business for the Clinton Foundation, and still others which were sent to Obama in the White House, some classified, and all of which were being hacked by the Chinese.
This is what CNN and the New York Times and Washington Post are trying to hide, because they were recipients of many classified documents related to the Mueller investigation, and they could go to jail.
But say a prayer for William Barr, because he’s looking into all this sleaze now. If all is uncovered as it could be, then some real government and media criminals might be behind bars, and we won’t have to listen to the lying, whining CNN newsreaders anymore, and we can replace them real journalists who can defend the constitution, not do political hack work.
