Now that the Mueller investigation is over, and Trump exonerated from colluding with the Russians during the 2016 election, a charge that was hysterically spewed daily through our television sets, led by CNN, you would think that the news networks would apologize for scaring us about Trump every day over nothing.
Not a chance.
Trump was absolutely right in his tweet Tuesday after the release of the Mueller Report that “The Mainstream Media is under fire and being scorned all over the World as being corrupt and FAKE. For two years they pushed the Russian Collusion Delusion when they always knew there was No Collusion. They truly are the Enemy of the People and the Real Opposition Party!”
Still, after the report and Trump exonerated, CNN only blinked for a second, acknowledging that the Donald had scored a “political victory” when Attorney General Barr said Trump did not collude with the Russians, and cleared Trump of any possible obstruction of justice because there was no crime committed, but then CNN quickly cast doubt on Barr’s memo to Congress, suggesting that maybe Barr was covering up the obstruction of justice issue for Trump, who appointed him.
CNN just won’t let go of demonizing Trump, and forget about them ever apologizing for all the hysteria and anxiety and fear and baseless claims about the Donald they’ve spewed into our living rooms and offices over the past two years, every day after mean-spirited, Trump-bashing day.
The network’s newsreaders – Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Brooke Baldwin, John King, Erin Burnett, Jake Tapper, Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo have ALL assumed their lofty positions as arrogant shits reading their teleprompters, with an attitude of mean-spirited nastiness passing moral judgement on the Donald that he is a crook, a criminal, a sexist, a sleazebag surrounded by scumbags, and above all, someone who rigged the 2016 election with the help of the Russians.
But CNN knew all along that the Russian collusion story was bullshit, because they helped invent it.
CNN in its current, mean-spirited anti-Trump mold was created by Barack Obama with the help of his closest and most trusted advisors David Axelrod and Valerie Jarret, who used their Oval Office power to infiltrate and reshape the network. They essentially took over CNN during the 2016 election, promoting Hillary, with Axelrod working as both Senior Advisor to the President and CNN Senior Political Commentator, informing those undecided in the nation that Hillary was a shoo-in, and that Trump, in Barack’s words, was “unfit,” to be president.
At the same time, during the height of the 2016 campaign, as it looked like Trump was gathering steam, the Obama gang helped usher a fake dossier on Trump through the FBI and Justice Department to get multiple FISA warrants issued based to spy on him, while at the same time exerting Oval Office pressure on the FBI to bury its investigation of Hillary so she wouldn’t get indicted for her absolutely criminal personal e-mail activity while Secretary of State, allowing her to stay on her run for President.
In addition to the FISA warrants to spy on Trump, the fake dossier led through the Justice Department and FBI under Obama’s watch became the underlying rationale for appointment of Special Counsel Mueller’s and his investigation into Russian collusion, when everyone knew – Obama, the FBI, the Justice Department, CNN as Obama’s network – that the dossier was fake, as was the whole Russian collusion story and investigation.
But that didn’t stop CNN from spewing hysteria through television sets night after night, demonizing Trump even before he was sworn it office, scaring the nation that a criminal and friend of Putin was in the White House leading the country in some nefarious direction.
It was Saul Alinsky journalism, brought to the nation by Barack and his Chicago pals, not to objectively report the truth to the population as the Fourth Estate, to protect us from government corruption, but to manufacture a false narrative to take down a democratically elected president.
As Saul Alinsky directed in his “Rules for Radicals,” which Barack learned as a young man in Chicago to attack the Chicago political machine: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” – “Keep the pressure on.” – “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” – “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” – “If you push a negative hard enough it will break through into its counterside.” and “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it,” as in demonizing the Trumpster day after day after day.
Alinsky’s (and Barack’s) mantra has always been “The despair is there; now it’s up to us to go in and rub raw the sores of discontent, galvanize them for radical social change.”
So CNN’s mission has always been, in the case of Trump, to manufacture despair, or chaos or fear or doubt among the populace, so they will rise up and remove him from office.
So don’t expect any apologies from CNN on all the anxiety and doubt and fear of Trump they have stirred up through the airwaves the past two years. That has been their job, as directed by Barack and Valerie and Axelrod. And besides, Saul always said you don’t have to act with integrity, better that you don’t. Just be motivated and do what’s necessary to win.
As the Donald said yesterday: “We can never let this happen to another president again. There are a lot of people out there that have done some very evil things, very bad things, I would say treasonous things against our country.”
He didn’t mention Alinsky, who had dedicated his “Rules for Radicals” to Lucifer, “the first radical,” but he could have.
