Not many people outside of Washington, D.C. or Ohio knew who congressman Jim Jordan was until last week, when his name was all over the internet and blaring from the East Coast television studios as the latest in a line of Republicans being caught in the sexual harassment crusade.
But Jordan is a little different that the others. He is a powerful congressman from Ohio on the House Judiciary Committee which is holding hearings on the corruption inside the Justice Department and FBI during the 2016 Presidential Election, and specifically whether FBI agents were politically influenced in their investigations to hurt Donald Trump in his run for the presidency.
Jordan is the pit bull on the committee, and has been turning up the burners on the Justice Department over documents it is stonewalling that could implicate Barack Obama and his White House in possibly the worst political scandal since Watergate, only much worse because it extends into other departments outside the Oval Office.
So it is curious that now, after the Congress has threatened Acting Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein with contempt for not turning over documents that could implicate Obama, and as it prepares to question the leading FBI agent at the center of the so-called Russian collusion case against Trump – Peter Strzok – that Jordan is suddenly hit with a hysterical barrage from the national and internet media over a so-called “sexual abuse scandal” that occurred when Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University some 25 years ago.
The campaign is Saul Alinsky style demonizing journalism at its worst – spreading innuendo as facts, demonizing on even lesser facts, relentlessly spewing accusations through the internet and airwaves, and trying and convicting Jordan of a coverup on the lowest of journalistic standards and without due process. Sort of like the #Me-Too movement, another Alinsky attack movement.
This is the journalism that Barack Obama, Saul’s most famous disciple, left us with the mainstream media that he helped shape with his Chicago gang while in the Oval Office, now being practiced by people he heled install into the likes of NBC, CNBC, The Washington Post, The New York Times, PBS and, of course CNN, the Obama network.
These media have the largest collective control of the national airwaves and can utilize the Alinsky Rules of spreading ridicule and shame and fear in the name of news reporting whenever they deem appropriate, usually against Republicans. Unfortunately for the country, the Jordan story has nothing to do with objective or ethical journalism and, with their ability to dominate the national airwaves, borders on a kind of media fascism since it is one-sided against Republicans.
In the case of Jordan, this Alinsky media is accusing him of knowing about and covering up a so-called sexual harassment scandal at Ohio State in the late 1980s and early 1990s, a purely media generated scandal which has quickly been elevated in phrenzy to a “coverup” of “sexual abuse” by the shrill, shrieking hoards.
The main problem from a journalistic standpoint is that the alleged perpetrator of the “abuse,” which seems to be touching genitals during exams and being in the same shower room, was team physician Dr. Richrd Strauss, who has been dead for thirteen years, was never charged with anything to begin with when he was alive, and the whole story motivated from media digging for dirt. So there will be no charges now and no trial, except in the media.
From a responsible journalistic standpoint the story is hugely questionable to begin with, as is Jordan’s alleged cover up, which he has denied, though drowned under the tsunami of stories seeking his head on a platter.
But then again, he is a Republican, and more importantly is closing in on the Obama White House with a real scandal of corruption, so the pit bull media must be cut loose, journalistic ethics be damned.
What Jordan and his committee are nearing some public truth on is a real scandal of corruption at the highest levels of the FBI and Justice Department that is beginning to show fingerprints from the Obama White House all over it.
This real scandal begins with a fake anti-Trump dossier that was produced during the 2016 presidential campaign by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, with the help of the Obama White House, with all kind of false accusations made up to trash Trump and bring him down.
This fake dossier was used to get a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance (FISA) court to allow the FBI to spy on the Trump campaign. The investigation was then given to two FBI agents, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who were having an affair, and who exchanged some 50,000 text message, many of them expressing their vile hatred of Trump and hoping he wouldn’t get elected, and which resulted in the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, an investigation now in its 18th month, to investigate alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians to influence the elections.
The Obama White House is everywhere in the political sleaze, including Susan Rice, his National Security Advisor, issuing a “stand down” order to the White House cybersecurity expert to prevent him from looking into Russian cyber meddling, which came to light in a congressional committee, and prior to the Trump-Russian Collusion story surfacing.
Then there was the “human source” or spy planted inside the Trump campaign, apart from the FISA warrant, which was been admitted to by James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence under Obama. In one of their tens of thousands of text messages, Lisa Page told her lover Peter Strzok late in the campaign that “POTUS” – the namely Obama – “wants to know everything we are doing.”
All of this would amount to a “Story of the Century” if the media had any journalistic integrity, instead of being a vehicle shaped to protect Barack and his legacy, and shield anything negative. It would also make for a great movie, but Hollywood is still somehow prevented from painting Obama from anything resembling a scumbag Chicago politician.
FOX, the network reporting the story, was long ago demonize as Republican and conservative, and therefore inappropriate for New York or Washington newsrooms broadcasting to the nation.
But, for the sake of the constitution and its checks and balances to save us from tyranny, let’s hope that Jim Jordan is saved from the shrill streaking Alinsky hoards calling for his head, and can exercise his constitutional duty to ask his questions and shed some light for us on the latter Obama years.
Otherwise, the Millennials will keep thinking Barack is such a wonderful guy when they go into the polling booths next time. That is, if we still have elections.
